Planning the Trip

When planning a road trip to Florida, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you'll want to decide what parts of the state you want to visit. For our trip, we decided to hit up Disney World in Orlando, Daytona Beach, and Palatka. Once you've decided on your destination(s), it's time to start planning out your route. If you're coming from out of state, you'll likely have to take a plane into one of Florida's major airports (Orlando, Tampa, Miami, etc.). From there, you can either rent a car or take public transportation to your first destination. We opted for the rental car so that we could have more freedom while exploring. Next, you'll need to map out your route and make sure to factor in rest stops, gas stations, and food options. We made sure to hit up a few different restaurants along the way so that we could try some local cuisine. And of course, we made sure to stop at a few different beaches so that we could enjoy the sunny weather! Finally, don't forget to pack everything you'll need for your trip. This includes clothes, sunscreen, snacks, drinks, and anything else you might need while on the road. By following these tips, you can be sure that you'll have a fun and memorable road trip through Florida!
